If you are close to the N224 road you are facing the sun. If you stand at spot 2 you can photograph them from the side, or you can walk a little further on the Ginkelse Heide.

says the C130s will be coming in from the south, so I guess the arrow number 1 will be in the opposite direction this year ...
Doesn't really make much difference for those on the ground though :wink:

Anyway a great event. I'll definitely try to be there, if I don't have to work that weekend :D

Anybody a idea which route they will fly. Will they fly direct from Eindhoven to the dropzone? Or will they fly a part of the orginal route over Brabant?

No clue on routing. Though on the webpages it says "they are inbound from the south".

Just received the programme by email for the day. First dropping between 10.25 - 11.15 local and second one between 12.00 and 13.40.

Does anyone know whether there will be flights on Sunday 20th September? Last year at Soesterberg the US C-130s made multiple flights on Sunday. What can we expect this Sunday?

Tijdens de herdenkingsceremonie rond 12.00 werd er een dropping gedaan uit twee Nederlands geregistreerde, als ik het goed gezien heb, Cessna 208 Grand Caravans. Weet iemand misschien welke twee dit waren?

Tijdens de eerste runs heb ik trouwens het volgende genoteerd :

De twee Ce208's waren de PH-SWP de PH-JMP van 'Skydive Teuge'. Volgens de commentator sprongen hier de pathfinders uit.
Ook mogen we wat mij betreft de twee Harvards PH-IIB/B-71, PH-MLM/B-118 en B-25N Mitchel N320SQ niet vergeten die na de Cessna's hun rondjes vlogen.
