always the same. They should arrive on 27 and the exercise should start on 28 for 2 weeks. Unfortunately no confirmation even if it seems true. They should be F16s like last year, no SUFA or F15s....there should also be present italian F-2000s and 37 Stormo F16s.
Don't know about Germans....

sorry, this is all I know, unfortunately Italian Air Force do not like to advertise it.....

You can wait the first days and eventually book a flight for the second week.

Pls remember that "Fence Photography" is only "tolerated" in Italy, so be carefull, do not take pictures through the fence or towards the base and avoid scanners. It's safer.

the show will be on 25 friday. Gates opening at 8.00. Show starts at 10.30.

there will be the Reparto Sperimentale Volo, Frecce tricolori and some flyby of German F-2000 and F4s (probably 3 and 3). Nothing sure about the germans. I think there will not be much more.
As it is close to the binax exercise the 37 stormo vipers will deploy before so it should be possible to see them (and EFA also) there on 25.

These info are not 100% sure even if reliable.

A voice from today.... says the israelians postponed to october 5th-6th.

I just buyed the ticket....

however just to let you know that there are a lot of different voices and info at the moment because they asked for a low profile.... I think I'll wait to see them before going....

I suppose that now it's confirmed...I had infos from peoples involved in the exercise that Israeli planes will come on 5th!
Rumors talk about 5 Vipers and 5 Eagles...

The show is free, so probably GP is refering to his flt-tickets.

According to the above forum the Israelians are still confirmed for 27/28 september, but not still sure whether F-15/F-16's. Very frustrating to hear different intell from different sources when you already bought your ticket and arranged accomodation and a rental car. On the other hand, its just like in the old days without the Internet.

HI all,

Latest rumours on the Italian forums still indicates the Israelian participation will consist of mixed deployment of F-15I/F-16I jets. Apart from arrival on Monday Oct-5th, also Sunday Oct-4th has now been mentioned. Untill now no support has shown up yet, but the Italians have already deployed some a/c. 12 F-16's in total of both 37 & 5 Stormo. Also some German Phantoms and Typhoons are (still) present, most likely the ones that arrived for the airshow last week.

I'll be off this saturday to hopefully catch some of these rare birds. Anyone able (and willing) to share info about the eta of the Israelian aircraft is most welcome!! Sunday was actually a R&R day (planned on famous Poetto beach), but when the IDF/AF is coming in that same day I'dd rather spent my time on the approach!

Also tomorrow is now rumoured for the arrivals. BUT the important is that from tuesday 6 they'll be operational for sure......

4 F-16 Falcon Fightin AMI took off at about 13:15
2 F-16 Falcon Fightin AMI landed at approximately 14:20
2 F-16 Falcon Fightin AMI landed at approximately 14:23
5 F-16 Falcon Fightin AMI landed at about 14:27 hours (maybe they were coming directly from their mother base : the 5th Cervia?)
1 AMX Ghibli AMI off at 14:30.

Israelis should arrive or Sunday or Monday!
