Did a short factory visit at Embraer's Sao Jose facility. Some pics.

Don't think so, unless maybe you fly there yourself. The area where the aircraft are displayd are pretty secluded. Maybe the best chance to see aircraft are when they're taking off or landing, or at the other facilities that Embraer uses for flight testing, such as Gaviao Peixoto.

Actually, the factory is not too bad from outside. I only do mil, and was able to read all the military stuff sitting outside with little difficulty.

Did you see any Super Tucano from Fuerza Aérea Dominicana? Or any Super Tucano?

Nope. Nowadays the factory in Sao Jose dos Campos only builds E170/175/190/195, military versions of the ERJ145 and bizzjets. I believe the Super Tucanos are built at Gaviao Peixoto.

The only Tucano I saw was a prototype on display near my hotel in Sao Jose.

Yep you are right, those Super Tucano's are built at another location..... I forgot that for a moment....

BA E170, G-LCYD is about to be deliverd today @ EXT after the birdstrike rejected the first delivery attempt
