He is calling Limelight (CAOC2 Kalkar, Germany) and mentions "alligator". When AWACS are flying they often mention this. I think it's the name of a certain track they are working in, but I'm not 100% sure about that. Maybe someone else knows the exact meaning of Alligator (besides that it is a predatorJanos wrote:Magic 62 calling Limelight and Alligator

Re: LOG 02-09-2009
And Link 11 and 16 are some kind of area ? Magic said ,,Alligator is ground area,,.
Where is the Awacs flying. The receiving is so loud and clear, I was looking outside iff it is in my backyard

Takes too much time to explain Link11 and 16, better do a google search, then you'll find out it has nothing to do with areas!Janos wrote:And Link 11 and 16 are some kind of area ? Magic said ,,Alligator is ground area,,.

Areas where the Pizza boys fly are mostly NL1 or NL2, roughly between Volkel and Apeldoorn.

Found it at Google. Thanks.
So I think in this action Alligator is the ground-station.
I live in Alphen aan den Rijn and with my home-made QFH antenna at 2,5 meter
the receiving was very loud and clear.
