Hi all,

Here's a pretty long shot....

When visiting the Zoo in Kerkrade (NL) I saw four E-3's from Geilenkirchen come overhead pretty low.

One was the LX-N90443 (that's an easy one...because its colors)
Three other came overhead between 1630lt and 1645lt.

Anyone for the serials??

Best regards, Rob.

GEILENKIRCHEN FRIDAY 2009-08-14 RW27
Weather: scattered clouds, clear air, mainly sunny, warm, light wind

Based aircraft (NATO Airborne Early Warning Force):
E-3A NAEWF 90454 L14:17 a1
E-3A NAEWF 90456 L15:41 a3
E-3A NAEWF 90446 L16:02 a2
E-3A NAEWF 90458 L16:44 a2

(notes: a free afternoon was used for a tour through the "Jülicher Börde" area, allowing also for a deviation of some two-and-a-half hours to Geilenkrichen airbase. While I hoped for weekend recoveries of maybe two "Sentrys", no less than four examples arrived and all of them even performed some local flying training. After almost one year absence from the NAEWF main operational base, the sight of these large, old-style strategic reconnaissance aircraft was a really enjoyable sight ...)

I'm not sure if this is the right topic for this, but since it concerns everyone visiting this base today I thought I might wanna post it here.

Today I visited Geilenkirchen, but while leaving I somehow forgot to take my scanner with me (yeah very stupid, I know!). I somehow lost it either along the fence/footpath on the East side or at the parking lot near the soccer field. I only noted the absence when we arrived at the Nordhorn Range (some 200km's Northbound). :?

Any help retrieving my "good old" Yupiteru MVT-7100 will be appreciated!

Thanks a million!!
