Havent been here in a long time...so I'm really hoping this is being posted in the right (sub) forum.
At the moment, a (small) forest fire is raging in the Netherlands, around Schoorl in Noord Holland. A major highway in Noord Holland has been closed, and so is a big canal. A village also has been partially evacuated.
All in all, the forest fire is raging nice over there, and by now, 2 helicopters (AFAIK. Atleast 1 is there) have been called in to help fighting the fire.
One already almost had an accident by picking up too much water, having to drop it's equipment to make sure it would not crash.
My question here: What frequency are these helicopters on? I'm eager to go up a nearby watch tower and watch, and listen..but I don't know which frequency.
Thanks
((My intel is rather limited, as I'm not at home - yet. Please don't be too hard if my info is off))

Re: Forest fire helicopter
It's not small, rather big, and still getting bigger. Helos (Cougar and Bo105) should use 124.3. See the praethuys topic at http://www.scramble.nl/forum/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=55607. And be aware there is an urgent request from the authorities NOT to go there, especially aimed at "disastertourists". The roads leading to Schoorl are used to their full capacity by firefighting equipment still coming in.Kip336 wrote:Havent been here in a long time...so I'm really hoping this is being posted in the right (sub) forum.
