Re: Lelystad 29/30 August
There is a fly-in at Lelystad on August 29th and August 30th. Who ever want to fly his (historic) plane to EHLE is more then welcome.

Re: Lelystad 29/30 August
From an Aviodrome press statement, brought out this afternoon:
PLUSBuitenlandse deelnemers zijn o.a. diverse vliegtuigen uit de Tweede Wereldoolrog, waaronder een Britse Spitfire, een Duitse Focke-Wulf FW190 en een Douglas Invader van Amerikaanse origine.
Must be the first visit of a Flugwerke FW190 to the Netherlands...Zo zullen, naast een flink scala aan historische vliegtuigen, ook een groot aantal klassieke auto’s en (leger)voertuigen aanwezig zijn. Gedacht moet hierbij worden aan Dodges, Jeeps Scoutcars, Staffcars, Harleys en BSA’s.

I think we should read those countries as the country in which the aircraft are designed/built, not where they will arrive from/are based.

Re: Lelystad 29/30 August
According to the Hyves page of the Aviodrome, UK-based C-47 "Drag 'Em Oot" and (NL-based) P-51 "Damn Yankee" are also expected.
The A-26 is most likely the Scandinavian Historic Flight one, as the Lelystad event is mentioned on the 'Airshow Calendar' on http://www.shf.as" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
(I'm afraid they will only bring their Invader though, and not, say, their TF-35 Draken as well... )
Don't know any ETAs, would like to know myself...
Regards,
L.

Let me try to tell you once more: The Invader is from a different (norwegian) club then the (swedish) club of mainly (ex-) Flygvapnet personel that owns that Draken and other ex-swedish jets. (BTW the Draken is grounded at the moment anyway, due to a lack of spares for its ejectionseat. Source: Flypast).Lifeliner 3 wrote:The A-26 is most likely the Scandinavian Historic Flight one, as the Lelystad event is mentioned on the 'Airshow Calendar' on http://www.shf.as" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Furthermore, a Beech 18 will be around (the Gilze one?????) and sightseeing flights by a Dragon Rapide (and if we have to believe the aviodrome's website, there will be even more aircraft).

AFAIK, there is more than one Draken still in flying condition in Europe. On the SHF site, I read about the "Danish branch" of the SHF that operates a former RDAF TF-35 from Karup.
You're correct that the "Swedish AF Historic Flight" (http://www.swafhf.se" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) is a completely different organisation that has a number of fromer Swedish AF jets, including 2 or 3 Lansens and a J35J 35556. So that's the one that is grounded then...?

Re: Lelystad 29/30 August
Has the aircraft at http://www.shf.as/htm/aircraft_draken.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; flown at all since the nineties? Never saw any pictures of this Danish aircraft airborne during an show in the 2000s.
BTW, I guess this thread will now be "split off", so again...

Re: Lelystad 29/30 August
And to answer in the to be split off: The danish is not allowed to fly due to danish regulations, which prevent civillian registered aircraft to take-off or land in Denmark, if they have an afterburner.Stratofreighter wrote:Has the aircraft at http://www.shf.as/htm/aircraft_draken.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; flown at all since the nineties?
