Forum rules
This is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum. Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post. In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.). Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so. |

Re: EHGR 06-08-2009
I think the Dutch warning ''De volgende beelden kunnen als schokkend ervaren worden'' are very true in combination with the next pictures.
I’m not a aircraft spotter but a military aviation maniac, so I do not own a Nikon D500000 with a sigma 40000mm objective.
I have a Kodak 37mm - 0% optical zoom - 3.2mega pixel.
I’m also in the Dutch military reserve and we where an opposing force against the 11 Air Manoeuvre Brigade at the Rucphense heide.
Also civilians could get there, even at the landing zone’s.
When we were all killed in action, our job was done, so we ran like hell to see the choppers go take off.
At the drop off point I made some pictures, for the last time: The quality off the following pictures can be very shocking for spotters!
It’s too bad that there weren’t guys with professional cameras.
When the helicopters where gone at the L.Z I and someone else (also an military aviation freak) where slowly walking back to the ‘’guerilla command post’’, when we where walking we heard a noise that was definitely from an apache.
We looked at each other and the other guy said ‘’LOW PASS!!!’’ , so again we ran like hell between tree’s and true blackberry bushes.
At the end we where both covert in little scratches, but hell it was worth it! We where just in time!
The following link is a movie shot by a colleague off mine, its about the low pass at the end.
I was standing far more to the left, so the turning and hovering apache was right in front of me, awesome!

There were far more nice moments but everybody was busy fighting, so sadly there no pictures from it.
