Total RAF Typhoon procurement cut

In an announcement in Munich today(31 July) it was announced that the total RAF Typhoon procurement will be capped at 160 airplanes,72 short of the initial figure of 232 jets.

The breakdown of these jets will be,

Tranche 1 55
Tranche 2 89 including 24 sold to Saudi Arabia
Tranche 3 40 reduced from 88

It is planned there will only be six squadrons of these jets.By the time the final jets are delivered in 2020,the first 40 Typhoons will be out of service,leaving a fleet of 120 jets.

I can't open the link.

However it's pretty bad news. Wasn't the Typhoon planned to replace all tornado's ?
First Typhoons also have a rather fast out of service date ( 2020 ).

The RAF were never going to go above 6 squadrons,so cuts were inevitable.The third Typhoon base would have been Leeming,but that was ruled out some time ago.

So that will be then:

3sq; 11sq; 229sq; 111sq and which two else
Given that 4sq; 20sq; 1sq will transition to the JSF

The others will have to soldier on with the Tornado Gr.4's?
