No spring flag this year, but ACMI detachement could occur like with German Tornado's.

Just read there will be another TRINAX exercise at Deci in september involving
IAF participation (F-16's again?). Anyone for a date on this event?

Exercise TRINAX 09 at Deci

Keep an eye open for the end of september...start of october! No F-16s this year...but ten ??? are scheduled for this time. Maybe it could be a four nation exercise this year...also Gripen are attended!

I suggest you to don't try to contact Italian Air Force HQ in Rome...as last year the profile of the exercise will be low...so there will be no access for the media. Anyway Decimomannu offers excellent spotting point on both runway...so you know what to do...

Ok...just to inform that I have to correct my self. Iaf partecipation will see the participation of 10x F-16.
The exercise will see four nation: German with EF-2000, Italy with F-16s and EF-2000, USA with Vipers from Aviano and Israel with F-16s. Operations looks to start on September 28th.

Can you (or someone else) give a description how to get there, where to stand and how many mm's full frame you need to capture the aircraft? I remember I saw some sort of a description on the internet but google can't find it right now so...

Anyone out there who knows if the Trinax exercise also holds some acedemic days, or can we expect flying every weekday? I'll be spending my holidays in Sardegna around the first few days of the exercise.

just to advice.... the trinax, then quadrinax..... now could be also turn to BI-nax with only the partecipation of Italy and Germany....

BUT NOTHING is sure at the moment. Israeli vipers are always on the list even if they are not sure.

and then yes, trinax (or whatever it will be...) shoul begin on 28 of september.
