I think something goes wrong because at 15:30 and 18:30 you mention 834 as platform and hangared!

Lex, thanks, corrected!
I meant 847 instead of 834 as towed into the hangar (as Hans pointed out).

Hi,
I have a few serial questions about the saturday:
1. Which 2 Squirrels arrived together in the morning?
2. Which 3 Squirrels flew also besides ZJ267 in the Navy flypast?
3. Which RAF C-17 could be seen departing Brize Norton in de early morning (07:45?)?
4. In the afternoon there was another C-17 seen flying to Brize. Serial?
Thanks.
Oscar

Just one question for now:
Swiss AF PC-7 A-923 was the spare on saturday, was it visible between the two hangars during the display of the other 9 PC-7's?

There were 10 PC-7's. All were visible when walking on the static side.Phantom54 wrote:Just one question for now:

Read on MSF that it was visible when the others were flying.

Correct, ZH839/83 was NOT outside on Saturday, but pulled out of the hangar on SundayHans van der Vlist wrote:I think the visible Merlin from the static side was the 847. This one did not fly the whole day, but was towed inside a hangar around 15.30. On 16.30 I visited the other side of the base (ON base) and there were only TWO Merlins outside 834 and 861.

Re: RIAT at RAF Fairford 18-19 July 2009 Participants
Some Sunday movements:
Departing in the morning were F50 U-05 (NAF50) and Edwards KC-135R 37980 (Trout99).
Flying low overhead in one of the sparse blue spots in the clouds was a RAF C-17, think it was ZZ171. Can anyone confirm?
Arriving after the show were Swiss Falcon50 T-783 (SwissAF783) and Italian G222TCM MM62146/14-11 (I2146).
The Falcon50 departed shortely after, the G222 nightstopped
Most of the helicopters departed during or after the show:
SeaKings ZA137, ZA167, ZD625, ZF115 and LynxAH.7 XZ612 did not land and departed after the flightpast.
Lynx XZ690 and ZD263 departed after the show as Skua Formation
Chinook ZA670 departed as Vortex464
Merlins ZH834, ZH842, ZH847 and ZH861 departed as Merlin Formation, leaving only ZH839 behind.
SeaKing HAR3 ZH542 departed as Chivenor.., Anyone for the correct callsign?
Falcon20's G-FRAF and G-FRAU departed as Cobham1 and Cobham2.
C-27J departed as I2127

I can confirm the Merlin most to the right as seen from the crowd line as ZH847 on Saturday morning (9-o-clock-ish). That was the only one where the serial was not blocked one way or the other.

Hi all,
How real was the RQ-4 at the static from the NATO, just besides the NE-3A Sentry?
Greetings,
Henk
