Re: Saint-Dizier (LFSI) - 2009 MIL
The 306/113-IB is correct. Just checked it on the camera. Can't find the 304. So maybe a mistake? I'll look it up when I am home!
Sorry,

Just out of curiosity: how sure are you of this? I had a go at it with a 60x telescope around 16:30 local time, but couldn't make anything out of it other than I confirmed it to be a Rafale B
Brgds,
Ben
And yes i also had a telescope from 60x and was there around 15:30.

Hey there!
I was at St Dizier 260609 where M2000D 613/133-MO made an overshoot.
Does anybody have some info as to what unit this deuxmille actually belongs to or used to belong to?
Tailmarks (the Hog's head) indicates it is EC 3.003 Ardennes, but that's not consistent with the code M.., or infact ANY of the Nancy or other M2000 codes...
Would be nice if someone could bridge the gap!
Greetz,
ICS

Hi ICS,
In fact, three Mirage 2000D have this same strange codification:
M2000D 613/133-MO (EC 3/3 markings)
M2000D 623/133-MP
M2000D 646/133-MQ (EC 1/3 markings)
But don't know why...

Re: Saint-Dizier (LFSI) - 2009 MIL
Maybe a bit off-topic (there was another topic somewhere?!)
The same can be said from M.2000D 635/133-AS and 665-133-AE. The 133-A. code was also never assigned before to the Nancy units (maybe former ECE05.330?). Then again, some Nancy M.2000Ds also show the 133-L. codes (605/133-LF)... All show the EC02.003 SPA102 badge (http://www.deltareflex.com/phpBB2/viewt ... &start=200" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; for images)
Also Dijon seems to have some exceptions to the rule. Normally EC01.002 codes start with 102-E., but some also carry 102-F. (41/102-FZ) and 102-M. (61/102-ME, 67/102-MH) codes?! The 102-F. is probably derrived from the former EC02.002 which flew the 2-F. series and these are now worn by the Alpha Jets of EE02.002. To make mathers even worce, these Alpha Jets also fly the 102-N. codes (E26/102-ND) and 102-L. code (E87/102-LC). This latter could be explained if these were former ETO02.008 and EAC00.314 aircraft.
Actually I think it is too early to tell if there's a certain system for these codes as long as aircraft are switched around with the current realignment of the AdlA or either because they are pulled out of storage/maintenance where they still wore their "old" unit related codes. Time will tell!
Cheers,

Re: Saint-Dizier (LFSI) - 2009 MIL
No the system is simple to understand...Sjoerd wrote: Actually I think it is too early to tell if there's a certain system for these codes
Cheers,
Last year all the codes( so the oaci registration of the aircraft) were frozen for life for each aircraft so it means that it will keep his oaci registration for life.
If last year, at the "frozen"moment the alpha jet was at cazaux with its code 8-nd , and then transferred to ec2/2 at dijon it is 102-nd!and if in the future it will be transferred to TOURS EAC 314 , its code will be 705-ND.
Only the aircraft on short term storage at CHATEAUDUN at the "frozen moment" are using now once back in active duty the"M" code.
So ...very clear!
Re: Saint-Dizier (LFSI) - 2009 MIL
It seems more ore less logical indeed. The noted 133-L. and 102-L. codes can in that case be explained as former EC03.011 (Djibouti a/c) at the time of activation of this new system. Was this a guess from your side, or do you have well informed sources on the inside? In that case, can you also pls explain where "OACI" stands for?57HEAVY wrote:No the system is simple to understand...Sjoerd wrote: Actually I think it is too early to tell if there's a certain system for these codes

Re: Saint-Dizier (LFSI) - 2009 MIL
Yes indeed , the "L" code belong to former djibouti a/c.This is not a guess this was explained by french air force officials because behind the new codification there is a new set up of maintenance system in the whole french air force.Sjoerd wrote: It seems more ore less logical indeed.
