Re: Salon de Provence (LFMY) - MIL 2009
Arjan,
Can you confirm that the Tucano's are still flying from Salon? Information was that operations on the Tucano at Salon would end by april this year but at least at some French airshows, Tucano's were spotted. I will be in the south of France for the coming weeks and I still miss a few...
Many thanks in advance!
Erik

Didn't see any and only civil stuff flew around from their ramps!

Well, that doesn't sound too great! Thanks for the info. Since I will enjoy my vacation in the close proximity I'll give at go anyway (maybe I'm lucky)..
On the other hand: with Orange and Marseille not so far away there is plenty of alternatives for a kerosine-junkie!

Re: Salon de Provence (LFMY) - MIL 2009
From memory i thought there's a fare-well ceremony on July 10th for the Tucano. Will ask for the exact date tonight.
Re: Salon de Provence (LFMY) - MIL 2009
DJ,
That would be great news! I will be in the vicinity of Salon from the 6th of July so any info on this will be much appriciated!

Re: Salon de Provence (LFMY) - MIL 2009
Sorry Erik, Woelfie is correct it was on June 10th. Smal static show and a few flying aircraft, nothing special.
A well, there's enough to do in that area for spotting. (Istres, Marseille, Orange, Hyeres etc.)
Regards,
Mark
