Hi all,
Spent a great day out at Leeuwarden airbase to watch the action with the TDY F-15's from Lakenheath and the Tonka's from Lossiemouth. Flying started at 8.30 with the Tonka's flying off to the Vliehors range followed by the Eagles and Vipers taking of after that. The Tonka's did another wave around 1300 hours followed by another wave of Vipers and Eagles around 1500. So plenty of action in the morning and afternoon and spending lunch in the sun in between.
Two queries:
1. Anyone ID'd the AS532U2 Cougar which came in and left during the day?
2. From the Marssum spottersplace two Eagles could be seen on the 323 Sqn flightline. One was the 84-0001, which one was the Eagle on its lefthand side? Both didn't flew (obviously, As I might have poled them off then.. )
Enough jibber-jabber, here's the log (thanx to my girlfriend for jotting down the serials and thereby getting to know the difference between a Viper, Eagle and Tonka. ):
Most birds flew different waves.

Hi !
Tornado's ZA456/023 and ZD793/101 RTB as Poker01/02.
Lovely afternoon at EHLW with a lot of Frisian airpower!
I believe Tornado's in the afternoon mission also used Snowbirds...but: lowbat , so my scanner said "do it yourself".
Greetz,
Jos.

Re: EHLW 16-06-2009
Hi,
Another day on the island. A single F-15 was noted overhead Terschelling at 11:10 local, inbound EHLW. At 12:00 local two Tornado's were noted, apparantly after departing EHLW and inbound the direction of the Vliehors range. Anyone with the serials/callsigns ?
Cheers,
Marco
