HAF F-16 Blk 50 crash

HAF F-16C Blk 50 s/n 059 crashed this morning in north western Greece near the city of Ioannina. The plane belonged to 347Sq/111CW. The pilot ejected safely.

Good to hear the pilot is okay. Less than a month ago the jet participated in a HAF Fighter Weapons School exercise at Andravida:





Any additional information on the cause of the crash yet?

IIRC,this jet was in the static at Pratica di Mare in 1998.

Reason of crash seems to be bird strike. Pilot was rescued by a Super Puma.
