LAHORE: A Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) aircraft coming from Multan skidded at the Lahore airport during landing on Saturday, creating panic among the passengers, a private TV channel reported. According to the channel, the flight, PK-688, came off the runway after skidding and struck into the earth next to it. However, all the passengers remained safe and no one was hurt. The channel quoted PIA officials as saying the same flight was to leave for Islamabad after a stopover at the Lahore airport. Aircraft involved was ATR42 AP-BHO. The nose gear, and left main gear appear to have collapsed, although whether that is a cause or result is unclear.
