Thailand shelves purchase of second batch of Gripens

A story in the Bangkok Post on 9 May states the second batch of 6 JAS-39 Gripen airplanes destined for service with 701 Sqn,Wing 7 at Surat Thani has been shelved due to financial constraints.

The first batch of 6 Gripens is due for delivery in 2011 to the Royal Thai Air Force.
