Blue Wings Suspends Operations

Post by flying_kiwi »

German airline Blue Wings has been forced to suspend operations after the LBA refused to renew their AOC.
The LBA had already revoked the airline's standard AOC, and replaced it with one that required renewal even few months. Apparently Blue Wings weren't able to meet the financial requirements to extend the AOC, and as the current one expires today, they can no long continue operations.

Report from Flight Global can be found here.

Apparantly Blue Wings is allowed to fly again: Luchtvaartnieuws
The financials are back in order and there is no further problem. The article does not say when the operations will be resumed.

They did have two aircraft repossessed by the lessor.

D-ANNH
D-ANNJ

Both were flown to Chateauroux in the last week.
