Forum rules
This is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum. Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post. In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.). Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so. |

Re: The Outrageous Wales Week
Sometimes you wish they didn't wave, but they all seem to be aware of your presence. Some even start waving half a mile out.......
The good thing is that when they wave, they know you are there and they may come back just to give us a second chance.
All Hawks on Monday did that !
Cheers,
Iwan

Great photos everyone!!!
Was this trip organised by scramble? Would be a nice idea to organise more of these trips
And it didn't even rain

Re: The Outrageous Wales Week
Hi Mike,
This trip was organized by me as a "photography-friends-trip". There were 21 of us, all linked together as die-hard aviation photographers, who have been out and about on many trips. Fun was our keyword for this trip, and fun we had !
Cheers,
Iwan

Thanks for the tips, Iwan!!Iwan Bogels wrote:Hi Walter,
Don't worry too much about auto focus speeds. Indeed, there were a few 1D's en 5D's up there, but also many 30D's, 40D's en 50D's. Mind you, there were even four Nikons up there....
If you use the small freeware tool Opanda iExif 2, you can see the camera and photo details (e.g. Exif data) from every shot that is published online. Just right-mouse-click the photo on any website, and it will show stuff like Camera type, lens (mm), shutterspeed, apperture, ISO without having to open the program itself. You can download it from http://www.download.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;.
Convincing the wife to go to Wales is super simple. Wales has a beautiful country side, lovely small villages and very friendly people. If you like rest and relaxation without the hassle of modern amusement parks, big shopping malls and mass tourism, this is the place to be. And these days with the low "pound-to-euro-rate" the UK is rather cheap !
You better start planning......
Cheers,
Iwan
The download program works fine!
I have started planning (first steps are still the hardest...convincing the wife, but I am working on it )
PS: Are you intending of planning further trips to Wales next year?
Best regards,
Walter

Hi Walter,
Convincing the wife should be a piece of cake once you show her the right sites on internet. Just beautiful !
Yes, we are planning on a 2010 edition of our "Waanzinnige Wales Week". Everybody was very enthusiastic, facilities were great, and we all had a great time. So be prepared for another topic like this within 12 months time...
Cheers,
Iwan

Hope to see you and the friends do more trips, especially with these photos, you don't see them every day.Iwan Bogels wrote:Hi Mike,
