B737 Crash Congo

Post by flying_kiwi »

Reuters is reporting that a B737 has crashed in the Democratic Republic of Congo, approximately 200km from Kinshasa.
Apparently there were only two crew members on board, but their fate is unknown. The aircraft was on a flight (either freight or a ferry) from Brazzaville to Harare, having originated in Bangui (Central African Republic).

Reports now that it was a Central-African Boeing 727, on its way between Brazaville and Bangui.

Read this on airliners.

It's now been confirmed that the aircraft involved was B737-275 TL-ADM of Bako Air, and that all 7 on board perished.
According to authorities, this was the first flight of the aircraft in at least a year.
