REQ: info on exercise Wycombe Warrior 04-09 - UK

Post by Piet Luijken »

Hello,

Anyone has some info on this exercise on date 28 - 30 april 2009 in the UK?
I happen to be around Newcastle, so any info on extra missions from airports or extra visitors would be welcome!
I have tried Fighter Control and the NOTAMs to no avail ( for the time being...)

Thanks,
Greetings,

28/4/09 - 30/4/09 Exercise WYCOMBE WARRIOR
LFAs 5,11,12,13,14,16 and 17.
Exercise WYCOMBE WARRIOR is a medium-scale live fly exercise with up to 60 sorties each day. The exercise will take place predominantly in the North-East of the UK, with much of the air to ground activity taking place at Spadeadam Electronic Warfare Training Range. Participants will include all RAF fast-jets, together with F-16s from Belgium, Norway and the USA; Mirage F-1, 2000D and Rafale from France, and Tornado IDS from Germany. The exercise will be supported by Air Refuelling, AWACS and EW assets.

Foreign participants can operate from their home base. RAF participants will all operate from their home base, so do not expect a mass TLP launch.
Assume makes an ASS of U and ME.

:?: Possibly connected with the exercise, two Mirage F1s flew low over Hastings Pier on Tuesday at about 19.30 heading west. Any idea where to?
