Pioniersvliegtuigen op bezoek bij Aviodrome
Lelystad, 22 juli 2009 - Het Nationaal Luchtvaart-Themapark Aviodrome mag zich op maandag 27 juli opmaken voor de komst van 19 historische vliegtuigen uit Scandinavië. Op zaterdag 25 juli is het precies 100 jaar geleden dat de Franse luchtvaartpionier Louis Blériot met een zelfontworpen vliegtuig over Het Kanaal vloog. Ter gelegenheid van deze destijds enorme prestatie wordt er op 25 en 26 juli in Frankrijk en Engeland een Blériot-Celebration georganiseerd. De hieraan deelnemende toestellen uit Scandinavië brengen op maandag 27 juli een bezoek aan de Aviodrome in Lelystad, klaar voor bekijks.

De 19 historische vliegtuigen, vooral uit de jaren veertig en vijftig, die hierbij aanwezig zijn, komen op maandag 27 juli via Frankrijk naar de Aviodrome op Lelystad Airport. Na aankomst, rond 12.00 uur, kunnen bezoekers van de Aviodrome al deze toestellen van dichtbij bekijken.

Because of the bad weather the Scandinavians will arrive at Lelystad tomorrow. Some of them made it to England last weekends, some had to stay in France. They should regroup today and fly to Lelystad tomorrow.

Does anybody know what aircraft we can expect? I haven't found any reports of these machines in France, England or anywhere else. Also, the Aviodrome site doesn't mention what kind of planes to expect. With only this "vague" information at hand, I can't decide whether it's useful to go there (which may mean a missed opportunity for the Aviodrome) . . .

Yesterday evening we had at Texel the Se-XHM, OY-ALC and the OY-AVR coming from LFQN. Today they departed to EDHN. So these are NOT coming to Lelystad I think.
Just before the weekend a group of Sandinavian aircraft stopped at Hilversum! I don't know the registrations, but I will ask them...
