Not sure if this should go in this category, but here goes.

Show me ONE photo made with your best lens on a sunny day, so circumstances are about the same. I'm curious to the differences in quality of the different photos. Add your lens above or underneath the photo.

I'll start with a photo I made.

Made with the Nikkor 70-300mm 4.5-5.6 VR lens on a Nikon D80 Body.

Sorry but there're some issues; You're best sunny photo, shot on a clear cold winter day is always better than my best shot on a sunny summer day while your lens is at least 6 times cheaper The only way to compare lenses is to use them at the same time, place and bodies without editing.

Additionally, the usual downsizing of photos makes real comparison very hard. Sharpness can only really be judged at 1:1 size...
Sorry Mike, not to put you off. Many 'equipment quality topics' have preceeded yours, where I saw no real value in what was going on.
