Pilot injured as aircraft crashes
A military aircraft has crashed at an RAF training base in North Yorkshire.

The single-engine Tucano training aircraft crashed into the perimeter of the airfield at RAF Linton-on-Ouse near York at about 1230 GMT.

The pilot managed to eject. He has been taken to hospital but is not believed to be seriously injured. No-one else was hurt.

Linton-on-Ouse is one of the RAF's busiest airfields, providing training with the Tucano T1.

According to the BBC it was the Tucano display pilot who was practicing aerobatics.
