Thank you, but I'm not trying to get applause for something where I am only involved a bit. "I had it read off" = I made someone else read it off. I asked to look at the left rear fuselage (normal position). I didn't enquire about the unit.Hilco wrote:Well done xm717
Thanks for clearing this up. I am just curious about two things...
1. Where was the c/n positioned?

Re: Russische Antonov naar Volkel
Well Kubinka was mentioned as it's homebase.Hilco wrote:2. Does anyone know the unit (besides open skies) this antonov belongs to?
226 OSAP is stationed here and operates the An-30.
The 04 bk which visited Volkel a few years ago was also of this unit.
So, I think 226 OSAP / 16 AK is the squadron/wing.
OSAP = Otdelnyy Smeshannyy Aviatsionnaya Polk -> Independent Composite Aviation Regiment
AK = Aviatsionnaya Komendantura -> Aviation Headquarters
Hope this helps a bit....
But it still needs some confirmation.
Best regards, Rob.
