Yesterday I discovered that Monday 23rd of February will be a national military day in Russia (or at least in St. Petersburg). I saw an advertisment for this day showing a Su-27. Does anyone know if there will be a flypast this day and if so, at what time and location.
Anyone who knows if the roof of St. Isaac's cathedral the best position is for photographing flypasts over the centre of St. Petersburg?
Greets from Russia,

The day is called "Defender of the fatherland day" or "Mens day"
A similar day is there on 9 March as well for the women in the country. This all dates back to the old days.....
As far as I know there's no parade or something in the city, contrary to 9 May (Victory day) which has a military parade on Palace Square
