Hello,
does anyone know how i can adjust a picture, just highlighting the green color in a S7 Airlines plane? The rest of the picture must be black and white.

Hi Leon,
I know two ways (in Photoshop) to get the effect you need:
#1 (never used myself)
* use the ' magnetic lasso' or 'magic wand' (which one depends on the photo)
* invert selection
* convert to b/w
#2
*duplicate the layer
*convert the top layer to b/w
* use the eraser to erase (make sure the b/w layer is selected) every b/w part that you want to have in color. While erasing the b/w-parts the underlaying color layer will appear at that spots.
Good luck!!

Hi
Although all mentioned methods work,they are in my opinion not really flexible when it comes to re-doing or adjusting your project. A method I find interesting is:
- Copy the layer
- Add an adjustment layer to the lowest layer, choose black & white
- Select the highest layer
- Add an layer mask
- Invert the layer mask (CTRL-i)
- Paint with the brush, using white and black, over the layer mask to make the color-parts re-appear.
The great thing about layer masks is that they are adjustable at any time

Just to give an alternativeArnold ten Pas wrote:Although all mentioned methods work,they are in my opinion not really flexible when it comes to re-doing or adjusting your project. A method I find interesting is:
you can always do all kinds of adjustments and "save ass" instead of "save". In ths way the original is not altered and all adjustments can be re-done.
