Yeh KLM doesn't fly with these registrations:
PH-BFJ 747-406
(PH-BFQ 747-406)
(PH-PFX 747-406)
PH-BQJ 777-206
PH-AOJ A330-203
PH-KCJ MD-11 P
What is the exactly reason why J is not used ?

Re: Air France B-777 Cargo
Probably because of some kind of abbreviation. For that same reason PH-AOG doesn't exist: AOG is short for Aircraft On Ground.

Oh yeh thanks, I totally forgot AOG.. it would be a rare abbreviation indeedbramos wrote:Probably because of some kind of abbreviation. For that same reason PH-AOG doesn't exist: AOG is short for Aircraft On Ground.
Okay.. I have got KLM PH-BFA, BZE and BXO, BVA and KLM Cityhopper PH-LXJ and KZC so these ones will be exceptions.adz wrote:X is simulators and I believe that J is on airplane models.

Re: Air France B-777 Cargo
If I am correct KLM's J-regs are used for pormotional purposes, like advertising in newspapers etc.
The advantage is, that if a plane should crash, you don't have to edit all material.

Re: Exemptions in reg-series
Sounds quite reasonable, as a simulator is in fact an aircraft on ground.
