Exemptions in reg-series

Post by Boudewijn van Oirschot »

Yeh KLM doesn't fly with these registrations:
PH-BFJ 747-406
(PH-BFQ 747-406)
(PH-PFX 747-406)

PH-BQJ 777-206

PH-AOJ A330-203

PH-KCJ MD-11 P

What is the exactly reason why J is not used ?

Probably because of some kind of abbreviation. For that same reason PH-AOG doesn't exist: AOG is short for Aircraft On Ground.

Okay.. I have got KLM PH-BFA, BZE and BXO, BVA and KLM Cityhopper PH-LXJ and KZC so these ones will be exceptions.

If I am correct KLM's J-regs are used for pormotional purposes, like advertising in newspapers etc.

The advantage is, that if a plane should crash, you don't have to edit all material.

Sounds quite reasonable, as a simulator is in fact an aircraft on ground.
