Dreamlifter and RR 747 at Pinal Airpark (AZ/USA) ?
Hi,
some days ago I spot the Rolls-Royce 747 (N787RR) "Trent 1000 Powering the 787 Dreamliner" in very bad condition.
Just the RR markins on the Tail are visible and "he" from "the".
Also the Dreamlifter (N747BC) was standing in front the Evergreen Hangar.
Will there be stored there?
Jens

Title edited to fit the standards. FYI: KMZJ is not an ICAO code, Pinal Airpark does not have one according ICAO. I have no answer to your real question, unfortunately!

Hi,
It looks like. N787RR arrived at Marana the 21st of April 2008 and never left. No details of N747BC.

Howdie,
I saw N780BA at Marana in April 2008, so my guess would be that Evergreen has some role in the process of modifying and/or maintaining the 'LCF's.
However, as these aircraft were to be used to transport 787-fuselage parts between Japan and the US, the first 787 has yet to be flown, and the economics are currently less than optimal for money squandering, this and the other 4 LCF's could of course get stored 'for the time being'...
Mind you, this is mere speculation, NOT FACT!

Robert W
