Syrianair B747SP to fly again?

Post by ehusmann »

I found this thread on Airliners.net "USA to allow Syria repair of it´s two 747SP". It says that the two B747SP´s were not flying anymore (or at least very little) because of spare parts issues, but that the USA is now again allowing spare parts to be delivered to Syria. If true, this would be excellent news!

Would be great indeed, as long as it pays Schiphol a visit :).

They've already been here... but it sure is a nice sight to see them again; like they were washed too hot and shrunk in the washing machine ;)

Just wondering how many 747SP's are still flying around... won't be many of them, I guess.

Just 'a few' Boeing 747 SP are still flying around:
1 - Saudi Arabian Government
1 - Saudi Arabian Airlines
3 - Iran Air
2 - Syrian Arab Airlines
1 - Oman Government
1 - Yemen Government
1 - Las Vegas Sands
1 - Ernest Angley Ministries
1 - Bahrain Amiri Flight

I thought this was it, but correct me if I am wrong.

There's one stunt-team (don't know how they're called) that operates one as well.

Don't forget about SOFIA...

P.S. By the 'stunt' 747SP I think you mean the one sponsored by Frys.com?
