Yes they are. Parking at the 08R beginning or in other words 26L end. The regular parking spot for participating choppers.

I noticed this one at Florennes during the Recce-Meet 2003:

I am not sure about its fate thereafter...

Seen (and photographed) by us during the open day last July, stored far away in the HAS area. So probably still present!

Can you pinpoint in anyway where she was (is?) located?
Perhaps I'm able to catch her during the TLP Spotter's day later this year.....

Italian AB212s

Post by Ergo01 »

Tommorrow we will try our luck again.
On behalf of all spotters I would like to ask persons with the right connections to transmit the photographers request to Florennes ATC and AMI AB212 aircrew to use runway 26R or 08L for approach. Their reward will be beautiful portraits of these ships on the Internet!

If so you will need to walk some distance for it! it is at 50 13 46.90 N, 4 37 47 E. If you look at Google Earth, it is the light spot at the hard stand between the last two shelters at the most southern shelter park (does that make sense?? If not just copy/paste the above coordinates).
Good luck!

The FU-103 was @ 50.245026N, 4.625547E
Don't know if it is still there, has not been reported for some time.
Maybe it is visible from the hill just north of it.

Regards,

Otger
These coordinates don't make sense unless this aircraft is located in Faulx les Tombes??
