My favorites are the same panoramic shots with a lot of different types



In those days Peruvian and Iraqi pilots were on Su-20 training here, Viet, Hungarian, Polish, Indian, Ethiopian etc.... pilots were on MiG-21 training.
In the foreground is a MiG-21UM for ground cockpit-training.

Yes.
I was airframe-engine tech on MiG-21, Su-17 -22.
That was a stupid era with stupid security(photographing) rules in WP AFs.
For such pictures at that time it was possible to ring out easy in a tour to the solar Siberia....

1977 May - SSSR, Mari AB(Мары), the "Russian Top-Gun"
Here the Russians had a lot of flight-instructors with combat experience(in Egypt, Syria, Vietnam....).
This unit - 1038-й ЦБП - had MiG-21PFM -21SM 1970-75, MiG-21bis 1974-87, MiG-23 from mid 70s and later MiG-29.
Some of these planes wore very unique camouflage.

Poor quality paper-print scan, but I think the modellers will like it.
Most of the painting guides for the camouflaged Soviet AF MiG-21 decal sheets(and for kits) are fantasy of their publishers - or based on one-side photo only.
