Re: TLP 2009-1 Participants
Hi Hermolaus,
That's GREAT news, so the Polish Air Force will indeed participate in TLP 2009-1.
We'll wait and see when they arrive and in the forum you'll see the pictures, that's for sure!
I think for many people they are the highlight of this edition

Re: TLP 2009-1 Participants
So you mean those Polish vipers are due to arrive today although they will only participate during the last 2 weeks?Hermolaus wrote: As our Vipers arrival is concerned they, in the number of 3, are to come from EPKS to Belgium today (16 Jan 2009), as participants of TLP 2009-01.
Or will they participate as from Monday onwards??

Re: TLP 2009-1 Questions
NOt according the planning, but of course these change as you noticed also in this TLP because many aircraft did not show up, while others line the AMX were not in the first draft.
Personally I think these Hercs are here for the still present FAP F-16A but that is pure speculation.

Re: TLP 2009-1 Questions
Yes, in the overview the first part of the unit is the Air Force, followed by wing ( if present ) and squadron.Polleke_NL wrote:as for the overview, assume (hope) SP stands for Poland ?? (F-16C external assets)
Does external assets mean they won't operate from EBFS ??
Therefore SP is the name of the Polish Air Force.
External Asset means the aircraft act as red air or aggressor, see more info at http://tlp.scramble.nl/tlp-external-support.htm.

Re: TLP 2009-1 Questions
Indeed, normally, the external assets were planned for the last two weeks.maurits wrote:Hi Polleke,
The Polish Vipers are planned for the third and fourth week of the TLP. Expect arrival at Florennes should be Fri 23 Jan. or Mon 26 Jan.
Just wait and see, because the last two editions a lot of no scheduled others planes took part in TLP instead of scheduled units/aircraft.
Regards,
Maurits
However, the last week the type of missions like CSAR, with helicopters, there is no urgent need for the externals to act as red air.
Therefore, during the last TLP exercises, some external assets were also planned from week 2 and week 3.
Due to some no-shows on the part of the RAF, during the first week there was a shortage of air-to-air participants.
Which is solved now with the Polish Vipers and the extra Italians as well!
Yes, they will participate for week 2 and 3.Polleke_NL wrote:So you mean those Polish vipers are due to arrive today although they will only participate during the last 2 weeks?Hermolaus wrote: As our Vipers arrival is concerned they, in the number of 3, are to come from EPKS to Belgium today (16 Jan 2009), as participants of TLP 2009-01.

The answer to the question if the Polish Vipers have Conformal Tanks on top of their fuselage:
The dual version arrived indeed with CFTs!
