As mentioned in last month’s news edition, many of the Scramble editorial team are working hard to prepare one of the most interesting days of 2008: Scramble Aviation Day.
Last weekend, we have tested the quiz for the Dutch Spotters Championships (NSK), which will also be held on that day. Thirty-six tough questions about all aspects of spotting. The lines for bribery are now open; I know all the answers…
Also open for business is the buffet. Everybody who has ever visited the NSK will remember the legendary meals held afterwards. Come and join your fellow aviation enthusiast for a chat at the dinner table. Price for this varied meal is only Euro 20. Places are limited, so check out http://www.scramble.nl/nsk-dsc/ for all the details and the many other spectacular events held that day in Nieuwegein.
-Dutch Spotting Championships (competition between all Dutch spotting groups)
-Dutch Spotters Convention (large fair with over a hundred participants)
-Evening programme with, among others, Colonel Edward Rock, a well known Vietnam pilot, talking about his F-105 experiences, Erling Brom talks about ferrying a Constellation from the US to the Netherlands and an exiting mystery guest. Ever met a Middle Eastern MiG killer? This is your chance!
-Time to talk to fellow aviation enthusiasts, exchange experiences, stories and enjoy a meal and a drink.
-Photo contest
-Much and much more.
Entry is FREE.
In this month's edition we have special features about:
-CLOUDS AND CONTRAILS.
Special report about the annual air show at NAS Oceana.
-AIR FORCE OVERVIEW - CHAD.
Recent picture of this small air force combined with all the serials give a great review.
-CENTRO SPERIMENTALE AEROMARITTIMO.
Say what? Off course we are talking about the special unit that was formed to introduce the EH-101 and NH90 into Italian Naval service. An exclusive report by one of our reporters.
-YEMEN AIR FORCE.
Ever seen a picture of an operational Yemen AF MiG-29, F-5 or Su-22? Neither had I. But this has changed since I saw this article with a complete Order of Battle.

Yep. Had hoped that it was in already.F17_114PM wrote:Hi,
have you already send the magazin to its subscribers in Germany?
Thank´s and bye
There was a small mishap with some boxes ending up in the wrong country. One box, intended for Germany, was sent to the UK and they have been sent to Germany from the UK (instead of via Berlin).
Greetings,
Stefan
