The graveyard where 'credit crunched' budget airlines send unwanted passenger jets.
Like giant toys discarded by a careless child, this collection of abandoned aeroplanes is
a stark reminder of the current parlous state of the air industry.
Pristine aircraft owned by stricken budget airlines from around the world are being stored
at Lasham Airfield near Basingstoke as they wait for their future to be decided.
A total of 26 planes are being kept at Lasham Airfield after their airlines went bust.
Lasham, originally an RAF airfield, is now the home of the UK's largest gliding club and
the ATC independent aircraft maintenance company, which is dealing with the planes grounded by the credit crunch.
