New EC.135 for Romania?

Post by patrick dirksen »

While researching the EC.135 production (after our visit to Donauworth) I just stumbled across the following (on the Rotorspot site http://www.geocities.com/rotorspot/d-1.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;):

c/n 0692 to D-HECQ, to 340 (Rom)

They do use the EC.135 in Romania, at Baneasa, and they had two crashes not too long ago. I think I do remember something about a replacement aircraft, but I am not sure. Is this indeed the one? The serial fits the range more or less, but with the original ones the serial was derived from the c/n.
Who has the definitive answer??
And while on this subject; is there a production list for the EC.135 on thne net? There used to be at least one, but the link is dead unfortunately.
Cheers,

The 340 flies indeed as SMURD Air Ambulance in Romania.

It was seen multiple times already in last August and September.

I assumed the c/n would be 0340, but seems to be different. I would like to know about the other Romanian EC135s are their c/n not related to their serial as well?

To my opinion the list will be as follow:

EC135P2 290 0290 Politia 7.06
EC135P2 297 0297 Politia 4.07
EC135T2 302 0302 written off 09-Jan-06
EC135T2 328 0328 written off 24-Dec-06
EC135T2 334 0334 SMURD/Air Ambulance 8.08
EC135T2 340 0692 SMURD/Air Ambulance 9.08P

Regards,

Rik

@ Rik: I have the same data as you have. Don't know why they changed the c/n related serial range!

@ Addeur: was it really 140? Strange!

Patrick,

this helicopter had 140 in black on the top of it's tail when I saw it at Donauworth on 02 July this year.

I know; thanks!
In this case I was referring to the serial, not the c/n.
