Belgian W&R from Namur on the move

Post by patrick dirksen »

Don't really know where to post this; decided for the news section but am happy to be corrected....
Anyway, a Belgian spotter (thanks Ivo!) mailed me recently that the preserved Mirage 5 at Namur was going to move to Poland soon, and I just found a report on the Demobbed website that it is now in the museum at Krakow. Ivo also mentioned that the Thunderflash is going to move to France and that the Thunderstreak is supposed to stay at Namur.
Cheers,

Hi,

The problem with the aircraft at Temploux was that the owners of the airfield could not insure them any longer, so all aircraft have to move to another location. Even the Thunderstreak has to go soon, contrary to what Patrick states.

best regards,

Daniel

Is there something known about the destinations of the Streak and Flash?

Both F-84 and RF-84 where there, looking nice and shiny, last Sunday... did not look like they have the intention to get rid of them.
Kind Regards / Groeten,
