Is there anyone who has experiences with this camera???
Are pictures made with this camera of good quality??
The lens on it is 28 - 300mm. Can I zoom in, just like a DSLR camera???

There have been many topics (not only on Scramble), comparing the merits of these toys with real DSLRs. In general, the once proud owners soon turned deeply sorry about their purchase.geert wrote:Is there anyone who has experiences with this camera???

It simply won't cut it. Period. These cameras are not meant to take sharp pictures at some distance, like most of us do and ask of their equipment.
Hans.

i used both.... an "intermediate" and now a full dslr...
you have some pro and con's...
Pro:
-You have an all-in-one camera... so no bulcky bags or whatever.
-new types are very fast in shutterspeed (repeated shutter)
-you have the ability of viewing and shooting in your display (what i simply do not prefer but some people would love)
-could be a money saver if you do your research propperly
-NO DUSTSPOTS ON YOUR PICTURES
Con:
-You won't be able to get anymore MM's (beside of purchasing a Teleconverter if it's available for that type)
-Picture quality is not that perfect, but with some tinkering you can make something nice out of it
-sometimes you realy mis something like an image stabilisation on those things (i hade one on it fortunatly )
but everybody has different points of views on this...
but from my experience... if you are a starting spotter and you don't have a big budget and you allow yourself sometime to get some info from different sources... then it could be something good...
If you are looking for a cheap sollution then you could also check this Fuji
Fuji S100FS

YOU DON'T NEED WHITE LENSES IF YOU GOT A WHITE CAMERA.
