Quick run into Florennes after the Jordan F-16s at KB

The weather was not too bad, sun at all the right times.

New Danish F-16AM flew a mission: E-198.

Also Tornado 46+02 made a LH afterburner check before the mission.
It was parked before the mission onto the ramp, did not see it being towed into the hangar.

Next to it was the grey 43+25, i have read this one personally ( with the binocular of Crizz! )
The 45+25 is according the Scramble DB an AG51 aircraft, was only seen on 28 augustus and will be deleted from the overview.

The 46+11 flew on the 9th and could be the Tornado in the hangar.

The CSAR choppers had not returned before I left at 1500LT
There was a MAGIC in the air, but likewise the AWACS did not return to Florennes before I left at 1500LT.

okay then, that might be a reasonable explanation! I'll cross my fingers and go then. By the way, do support aircraft for the departing planes normally arrive on friday or on thursday?

French will normally arrive on friday.

The Blue patch on the FAF Alphajet is the one of the Ajets School of Tours AFB

Ajets : Advanced jet training school

The Aphajet of this afternoon was piloted by myself lol and my instructor in rear seat just coming back to lunch after a Foreign navigation at Waddington before fly back to Tours .

I will be very happy if you could send me some photos you took this afternoon

(notes: Although this TLP flying course featured a rather common choice of participating aircraft types and units, the large quantity of changed an spare aircraft missed so far since my last visit here pulled me one more time to the Belgian super base. Arriving there at mid-morning, there was no flying of based F-16s as expected due to night flying planned that day. Thus early departure of a detached E-3 was very welcome and was the only movement before the beginning of the TLP mass launch.
This took place under clear blue skies and featured 28 aircraft including quite a lot of “new” aircraft for me. My personal highlight amongst these were the two French CSAR helicopters and the two Mirage 2000-5F, while the nowadays rather rare sight of two AMX’ and four Tornado F.3s was also very welcome. Recoveries of all participating aircraft were also enjoyed in perfect weather conditions and completed this very nice log!)

(notes: as flying activity of the TLP at Florennes had ended rather early and there was no flying activity of based aircraft, I used the chance and made the short deviation to Geilenkirchen on my way back home to the beautyful Southern Niederrhein. Luckily, some flying activity was still taking place there until evening. Thus, while spending some hours at the Terverner Heide tidying up my car, four nice movements were recorded ...)

Thanks for the message, even if it arrived quite a while after I left home....
It was exactly as the message says though: mission leaving at 11.15 (=9.15 UTC) and everything was back on deck around 13.30.
Because of the change of command, we got a bonus in the shape of a 10-ship F-16 flypast and the F-16 solo demo. Other visitors included C-130H CH-07 (special markings, nice!) that made a couple of t&g's in the morning, and a French Alpha Jet, probably E7/314-TU (needs confirmation though).

Unfortunately, a couple of UK Tornadoes had already left yesterday evening or early this morning: ZA404/013, ZG709/120 and ZG592/059 weren't seen anymore. The French Caracal flew a local solo mission in the morning, and left in the afternoon. No sign anymore of the Puma.
(At least) two Tornados left at the end of the day: 45+53 and 46+02.

were you there again today (11/9)? We saw a French Alpha Jet while we were still at the eastern end, but unfortunately it backtracked so it stayed too far away to read. We thought to have read 314-TU though and a serial ending in 7....

The CSAR choppers had not returned before I left at 1500LT

Only the EC725 found it's way back; it returned around 16:15 lt in spectacular fashion: low level and very fast. Unfortunately, as on the days before, it flew over the farms to the south of the spotting location, so too far away and backlit.

So that explains why we only saw the EC725 on thursday 11. It flew a local mission in the morning, before the TLP package took of, and it left in the afternoon.

Hi Bas,

in fact we took off yesterday just before the silence slot for the parade and in fact after the landing we were park at the northen area I think it's the machanical area for the F-16 and also the cross servicing area !

in Fact to explain the serial 314 is for the unit in France : EAC 00.314 of Tours and the number on the fin 7 is the aircraft number and aslo a serial just after the 314
