Forum rules
This is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum. Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post. In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.). Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so. |

Stockholm-Arlanda 14/08/2008
Hej hej!
Last Thursday it was again time for a spottersday at Arlanda, more or less organised by the Swedish spottersgroup of G-kraft.com. The weather was changeable and at several moment we had some nasty rain coming down. Yet, I was not dissapointed by that as it resulted in some real nice pics, I love those black clouds!!
We started at 7am and first went down to the approach, rwy26 was in use for landing.
Two spots were given a try: one for touchdown shots and the other approach shots:
#1
#2
#3
At around 11am we went for lunch and afterwards to the otherside of the airport to catch some take-offs from rwy19R:
#4
#5
#6
#7
#8
Around 14:00 it was off to the landing at rwy 19L, at the spotterspavilion, as they had changed the approach:
#9
#10
#11
#12
#13
Then at 16 o'clock we changed positions along rwy19L and moved a bit more down the runway for some roll-out/taxi shots:
#14
#15
#16
#17
#18
#19

After 12 hours at Arlanda, at 19:00, we decided to call it to an end. A very succesfull day again which has resulted in some very nice photos!
Thanks for watching and greetings from Sweden!

I'd rather depict atmosphere and the 'heat of the moment' making a catchy photo than to reflect the real situation and real colours showing a boring photo.

Yeah... ... ... ... ...CIVILIAN ????
I think I'm becoming Swedish... That's what happens when your staying in Sweden.
But actually I care more about the pics, than the planes. Its all about photos (for me).
And be patient, I will go to Linköping in September so expect some nice military SAABS on your screen in September.
Greets and take care!
