W&R website vankaathoven.nu gone... ??

Perhaps I did miss something recently, but where did the famous and very handy, website http://www.vankaathoven.nu" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; go? It looks like it's gone...
Can any one tell me what happend to it, and perhaps give a new URL for this website (if there is any).

That's a pity, was a wonderful site. By the way I checked the website I think two weeks ago and then it still worked.

Hello

I was really amazed to read that there where several people missing my W&R website Bits and Pieces. I thought that the most people are not interrested in the old site anymore? I didn't receive that much updates for it.

Because off a study i neglected the site for a long time. At home I kept my database Up to Date and it still is. Most off the updated info could be read in the book Vliegtuig Erfgoed 2005 wich P. Baeten published late 2005. Pieter Plomp and I worked together with Peter Baeten on this book.

At this time I'm busy to investegate all W&R locations from 1945 until now. A big project with a lot off fun and new info.

At this moment I'm also work on a new website. It should be interactive and dynamic. I hope that you Dutch Wreck and Relics lovers will give some time to create an new en better DW&R site.

Hopefully I will receive at that time more Updates, so I can keep it Up to date.

We have a book, published in 2007, that lists all former military aircraft in Europe; EMOOS 2007

Indeed... military. That means half the aircraft stored/preserved in the Netherlands are not in the book

Not in the book, but in the Magazine; Scramble 347 - Page 72 to 74 (we are sorry, but Belgium is included as well).

I't is well a pitty that a civil plane mentioned in Scramble 347 is already demolished. Also several locations are not correct.
There are several people in The Netherlands that collect all data about Military and Civil W&R.

When somebody has a question about a plane or location don't hesitate to ask.

For this reason it is always good to have several sources to rely on.
The more you are able to cross-check available data, the more you can be sure it is correct... lets take the benefits and keep eachother keen and sharp.

The main reason that I was triggered to mingle was that this is (f)actually yet another topic that is used for spreading commercial messages ("buy my book(s)").
