Forum rules
This is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum. Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post. In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.). Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so. |

Thanks for the comments. the pics were taken from outside. About the police: the first moring we had a visit from the gerdarmerie, they only cheched our passes and told us it was no problem to take picures!
The second day the airforce security from inside the field told us to go away. And that it is forbidden to take pics. We left. A few minutes later the gerdarmerie showed up, but as we had left they didn't saw us.
So you can take pics but watch out for the air force security (they have a sort of green landrover)
NB: you need a 5 step ladder to come over the fence.

Hello,
If you are at Reims, you can also stand next to the taxiways at the civil part of the airfield. We were there two years ago, we had no problems with the security or the police at the civil part of the airfield. One guy of the air force came after us when he saw us driving near the main gate and kazerne, where you shoul not go. For spotting is Reims a good airfield, it is very open to see the aircraf taxi by, take-off and landing.
I have put some pictures of Reims on my website: http://wernerweb.nl/Reims%20-%20Champag ... index.html

AFAIK, we have an up-to-date airfield guide of Reims, accessible for anyone with a printed copy of the mag. The terminal itself is military now, the surrounding area is still open. Obviously, the autorities will always have the last say, especially as you will be on 'someones' property along the fence.
