After a visit last November and bagging 41 different Ryanairs that day, it was time for another visit. So yesterday gave an early start for the trip to Eindhoven to board Ryanair 737-800 EI-DHI (oh, it was 2ct for the returnflight btw) that dropped us at Stansted at 09.15lt.
Spotting was done from the corner with the stairway, next to the terminal where you can follow the departing/arriving traffic between the concourses. Some bizz can line up earlier so there is a chance you miss one or two.. A scanner is recommanded as landing aircraft show up quite suddenly in between the two piers. Most traffic will taxi back but the bizz stay at the far side.

The full list between 09.30 and 16.45lt, to give an idea what was in/out:
N401JS/N403JS/N405JS 757's EOS
N609FE MD11 Fedex
N385AN 767-300 American
G-GSSA/GSSB 747-400F Global Supplies
N328UP 767-300F UPS
LY-ATR ATR72 Danu (SAS taillogo, Flying for Scandinavian Airlines-titles)
D-AGER 737-700 Air Berlin (newest colours)
TC-MZZ 737-800 KTHY
HB-JIF MD90 Iceland Express
HA-LPJ A320 Wizz
TC-AAE 737-800 Pegasus
N604BX DC-8-73F ATI
OO-TZB A300F TNT
TC-JMC A321 Turkish Airlines
HL7419 747-400F Asiana
D-AGWJ A319 Germanwings
G-BWDB ATR72 Aurigny
G-MAJB BAe41 Eastern Airways
5B-DBC A320 Cyprus Airways
G-CELP 737-300 Jet2
G-OOPX A320 First Choice
G-ZAPU 757 Titan
G-ZAPN/ZAPO BAe146's Titan

A6-GDP 747-200F Dubai Air Wing (callsign Dubai 8, the horse-express..)
PR-MJC Ce750
4X-CPY Be400
N302AK BD700
P4-MSG ERJ135BJ
OE-ILX B737 BBJ2
N333PY G1159-4SP
G-SIRS Ce560
G-EDCL Ce525
F-HAXA Da900EX

The number of Ryanairs we saw today was 49 different ones. 12 were seen before so 37 new frames was a good score for me!
Ryanair 737-800 EI-DCW brought us back to EIN..

Thanks Marc, didn´t know that site yet!

But to answer your question: http://www.spotterspots.com/Stansted.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
From the terminal you can walk to at least one end of the runway, but it is a loooooooong way and next to a highway. When I arrived by bus at the airport last Sunday, I did see a fellow doing just that. So it must be possible.

We booked a very cheap ticket with Ryanair, € 8,02 all-in, with 4 persons.
Only one made the flight because the others standing in the big traffic problems with the "hijskraan" in fire.

So a lonely and very quiet day in STN.

No I also noted the VP-BIZ, but this one has very nice colors. Like this:
