Transavia France will receive another three new 737-800(W)'s in 2008. Exact delivery dates not yet known, but expected to be before the start of the summer season.

Thx, Chris.

If it was a Delta Airlines aircraft that was ntu, then it would be a -832 model. The fact that it's a -8K2 suggests that it was ordered by KLM/Transavia.
The serial numbers of Boeing aircraft are allocated according to when the aircraft is/was ordered. The line numbers show the order in which the aircraft is/was built.
A good example can be found in the KLM B738s:

PH-BXF s/n 29596 l/n 583
PH-BXG s/n 30357 l/n 605
PH-BXH s/n 29597 l/n 630
PH-BXI s/n 30358 l/n 633

Regards,
Yorden

Not in this case.

Because the aircraft wasn't built, the designation was changed into 8K2.

Most of the time, the 'Boeing' code acts like a customer code (as you might know).

If another airline took delivery of an ready build ex Delta aircraft, it would be an -832, but the aircraft still needs te be build....

(Thats what i have been told...)

Bye, Chris.
