Re: Drunks
i don't agree with you... this only shows that spotters are persons too.. and are allowed to make fun...Ergo01 wrote:It is no wonder that many EHSB pictures from this era are out of focus.
This gives a slighly bad impression on the hobby as illustrated in other threads where plane spotters express their political views.
and they were young... so what... at least there ARE pictures from that era... and i'm glad for that... cause i was born in the age of the f-16... but my true love lies in the smokey engines and turning props
Keep on the good work Soesty's

I won't be too negative, but aren't some of this guys responsible for throwing stones into the engine of an F-5 and making fires on the spotterscorner? Or were that other aviation enthousiast".
This all resulted in the closing down of the best spotterscorner of Europe and making a large wall around the field. Those are my EHSB '80s, beside the nice aircraft, spotter collegaes memories.

Dennis,
And don't forget, this spotters corner WAS on military premisis, it was only 'claimed' by the same group of spotters you are accusing of being the reason the place was shut down. We were only 'tolerated' there for as long MINDEF didn't need it for other purposes....
Hans
Nope. Although for the outside world it probably doesn't matter, they were thrown from this corner......wamovements wrote:but aren't some of this guys responsible for throwing stones into the engine of an F-5
Eeeeuhhh.... new noise regulations for which those walls were necessary? That was the main reason the place was shut done, not what you mention, despite the rumours to the contrary. Nobody is going to put up those walls just to frustrate us poor spotters.wamovements wrote:This all resulted in the closing down of the best spotterscorner of Europe and making a large wall around the field.
