Empost A300 Special Colours...Best Times to see it ?????

Post by shinymac »

Hi All,

I recently spent four great days at SPL, and took many nice photos. But one aircraft that I had hoped to see, but I didnt, was the A300F that operates for "Empost", in the special colours.

I am returning to SPL for two days this week...arriving on Wednesday at 08.45hrs, and returning home to the UK on Thursday (13th) aat 18.00hrs.

Does anyone know if this aircraft is due to make a visit to SPL on the above days, and at what times ? I do not have a car, so I will be doing my photography from the viewing terraces.

Thanks

Derek

At this moment, only flights planned for the 11th and 16th. But a lot can change.

Derek,

The one you're looking for is the TC-ACC. This one should arrive this evening and will depart tomorrow (september 12) at 1630. There will be a "normal" ACT flight tomorrow as well.

Grtz,
Michel.

Hi Michel,

WOW ! I am pleased that I may get to see the Empost A300F after all then ! Does anyone know what the likely runways for departing will be on Wednesday please ? And will this mean I would still see the A300F from the VIEWING TERRACES ?

Thanks again Michel !

The Empost will be parked on R74 tonight, see
http://www.keymountain.nl/Content/EHAM/EHAMpb2.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
For the last three days the airport is using 36C and 36R for landing and 36L and 36C for take-off.
If this will continue the Empost will take the shortest route to the beginning of 36C or 36L and this is NOT via the terrace view.
R74 is allmost the last spot of the R-apon and very difficult, perhaps impossible to see from the terrace as there will be some B747F parked in front of it.
If you like to see the Empost take the bus to parking P30 and walk to the fence of the R-apron...good luck.
