Photo topic - together or separate ?
Hi everybody,
Just a simple question: Do you want one single photo category with mixed civil/military topics, or do you prefer separate photo categories for both civil and military photos ?
Cheers,
Iwan

Please, no more of them silly split ups!!!
A plane is a plane and a good picture is a good picture, so please no more silly split ups that urge me to watch 50 different forums to see all I want to see.
One split up I would prefer however: a seperate forum for people telling other people that they like their pictures especially if it's the same person reacting to every single pic on the forum, appearently just to pump up his stats.

It would be rather funny to separate mil and civ in the photo topic when everything else have 'just' been put together. And what do you do with pictures of a day out in e.g. Eindhoven or Stuttgart where you would (or could) get a good mix of mil and civ.
In most cases the topic name will reveal if it is mil or civ.

Re: Please, no more of them silly split ups!!!
I'll decide for myself when to be happy or not, thank you very much.Paul wrote:So NO mixed-upp forum(s) and ALL happy
I don't know what Frank said before (I don't even know which Frank you're talking about, the link didn't make any sense to me), but I guess everybody wants the forums organised just the way they organise their own spotting/photografing. So the mil only's and the civ only's will most probably favor separatism, while myself and all the others who care about planes rather then paint or paperwork, would rather have it all mixed up.
In the meantime I'm happy with (or at least used to) the forums as they are, so please leave it this way.
Marcel
I'm not in favour of separate photo subforums. But using the MIL / CIV predicates could indeed be useful.
However, if it is decided to split the photo forum, please create some dedicated room as well for:
- Warbirds,
- General aviation (as in "kleine luchtvaart").
Both of these don't fit in with the simple MIL / CIV (where usually only airliners are referenced and general aviation is left out) predicates that have been proposed before.

Personally I would appreciate separate military and civil sections. Splitting the two shouldn't be too much of a problem:
If it has a civil registration, it will fit in the civil section. If it has a military serial, it should fit in the military section. Don't worry too much about the grey area's, as problems will probably solve themselves. (warbirds have civil and military numbers, so choose for yourself)
Just my two pence worth....

I'm spotting at Gilze, making a beautiful picture of an AH-64D and an Antonov 124. I want to post them both. If your proposal is implemented I must make a topic for the AH-64 in the mil section and one for the AN-124 in the civil section. I do think it is better to just place both in the same topic (it is called photo forum for a reason). looking at the topic name you can see (most times) if it will contain military of civil photo's

Hi, just a few words from the moderator side:
- Topic moved, the Photo Forum is, like it says, for sharing photos. We feel the topic is more at its place here.
- Any outcome of this poll represents no obligation for us to change the structure of this board.
Having said that, we do obviously watch, listen and think.

I Fully agree, just put a litte prefix CIV or MIL at the title. You lose the *overzicht* over the board.marcel32us wrote:A plane is a plane and a good picture is a good picture, so please no more silly split ups that urge me to watch 50 different forums to see all I want to see.

Hey Key,
Groetjes,
Iwan
PS: Leuk he, nu mocht ik toch weer even in het Nederlands schrijven....
