Zijn er mensen die in het bezit zijn van deze lens en mij kunnen vertellen hoe goed(of slecht) dit objectief is ??
Ben zeer benieuwd.

24-105
Personally I've got good experiences/results with the 24-105 mm. I use it on a 1DII and a 30D. I prefer using it on the 1D because this one is (and always will) superior to the 30D. All about sensorsize, AF-speed etc.
The AF-speed (or better USM) of the 24-105 works perfect as you can see from the shots enclosed, especially the both F-18's. I like the constant aperture of F. 4.0 and allthough not always needed I also like the Image Stabilizer. An expensive lens but for me one which will accompany me for a lots of years ahead.

Indeed great pictures!! It would be nice if someone could explain the "how to get" a carrier ride!SquAdmin wrote:Wow, great pictures! I gotta get myself a carrier ride too someday...
Although I have heard also good remarks about the lens, for some, it does not offer "all" what could be expected from a "L"-type lens. I have heard stories that the IS does not work correctly when in "unusual attitudes" (i.e. pointing straight up and/or down, e.g. while manouvering during aerobatics - although it is not applicable for most, it is good to know the limitations of the IS).
Personally, I have opted for the much cheaper EF28-105 f/3.5-4.5 II USM (yes, it lacks IS, but it also comes much cheaper, while the optics are quite good).
PS: It all depends for what (and how much) you will use it, and how much you want to spend...
Best regards,
Walter

Contacts, contacts, contacts, hard work getting material published, hard work, contacts and a little bit of luck. At least that's what I heard first hand from someone who had the privilege to visit a carrier..wvanbel wrote: Indeed great pictures!! Re: 24-105
Don't know if I am doing something wrong but I often get soft/unsharp photos in the 50-105mm range. Especially when using spotmetering. AnyoneE. Schoonderwoerd wrote:Personally I've got good experiences/results with the 24-105 mm.
edit: Should maybe add I use it on a EOS 20D...
