Bay 1: 747
Bay 2: 747 of Cargolux
Bay 3: L-1011 CS-TMR (this bay is normally used as decorationbay, painting of the aircraft). Should have its second new engine (righthand wing) by now. Will be moved out of the hangar on Friday as painting of another aircraft will take place.

As i understood the Tristar will depart by the end of this week or begining week 4.

Thanks for the update. Will it make some test flights prior departing? Or will it just fly away and keep your fingers crossed? What about landing gear cycles etc? I have read somewhere that pilots are not too keen when the gear has not been cycled for a while, or has this all been tested in the hangar

Gents, I visited the aircraft yesterday and had a chat with their chief mechanic.. Plan is as follows.. next weekend a test flight, if succesful departure to Lisbon within 3 days after that. After a breef layover in LIS the aircraft will be flown to Victorville for a C-check. After that redelivery to Luzair.

Visited again today my friends from Trinidad working on CS-TMR... ya man.... Well as you all noticed CS-TMR did not made a test flight this week... This was due to the weather which prevented most of activities for last week...as all working progress is done outdoors...
Engine number two and the APU are being worked on... they expect to finish it this week. Also some damage on one of the slats occured while the aircraft was moved out of Hangar 14... Will be repaired also this week.
Plan is to testfly the aircraft within two weeks... The aircraft will be inspected by IVW first. If weather is more stable this week, they expect most of the work done. End of this week or next weekend test runs with the engines are planned. Than another week of solving minor things and paper work for IVW. After the testflight the aircraft will go to LIS for a week where the complete interior will be stripped... The owner purchased in Miami an almost new high tech interior for TMP. After a week in LIS the aircraft will go for a C-check and painting into Luzair c/s at Victorville. A new lease was signed by Luzair on TMP for five year recently.... So all ingredients are there to bring TMP back to the sky! We will most probably see it active again at AMS on subcharters for i.e. Arkefly....

Active again, OK, but subcharters for Arkefly ? Tristar at shol Oost
Hi
This afternoon i visited the old tristar next to hangar 9
The plane was alive with working meters in the cockpit and light in the meters on. A very wet (muf) air in the plane and the chairs very dirty.
they where working at the engine in the tail and they told me that people from trinidad where working at the plane. The dutch authorities are keeping a good eye at the work and plane. They told me that the plane will be used in the future for flying people to mekka. When the plane is ready it will go to the US.
walked around it and under it and a lot of roest and dirty spots.
well dont know what i heared is all true but it was for me an interesting visit
